The photo shows the back of the derelict houses in Joseph Street prior to demolition.
These were replaced with a block of flats.

The derelict houses at the bottom of Joseph Street were demolished in the 70's & replaced with a block of flats.They were occupied at one stage by Kenneth & Maureen Graham in the end house. Next to them was Carson & Sarah Brownlee,then Bobbie & Annie McFarland & in the fourth house up was Maurice & Marion Totten.

McClements who worked at grave stones at the rear of the boarded up house & garage lived in it - 136 Bridge Street.
The house & garage has since been demolished & the area is vacant today.
