I attended the "Festival of Remembrance" in Portadown town hall last night, I must say a big "Well done" to ECDA for all the work you put in organising this event.

It was great to see the hall filled to capacity and such a wide variety of talent on stage, followed by a very moving service of remembrance. Thank you to everyone involved, you did our town proud.

What a great site. I visited Edenderry last week and walked along Florence Court where my Grandfather Berte Hara Malcolmson lived before moving to England. I'm trying to follow my family tree so if anybody remembers him or his family please get in touch thank you. rachelamuk@yahoo.co.uk

Just finished reading through the history of Edenderry LOL 322. I was looking for information on my family who lived in the area and was surprised to find my Great Grandfather David M. Bright was the first Worshipful Master of the lodge. You have also provided a nice write-up on his history after the lodge. I expected to have to put some serious research time into this and instead it took all of a minute. Excellent work. I will be forwarding this website to my family. Thank you for your efforts.

This is a very interesting site. I noticed a contact on the site with my maiden name. My grandfather came from Portadown to Canada sometime in the 1920's. His name was George Gordon McClure and he was born in 1903. Unfortunately, my grandfather died in 1972 and our family has little information. My aunt and I are travelling to Ireland for two weeks in September and plan to spend a day or so in Portadown. We are hoping to trace some of our roots. If anyone has information regarding any possible McClure relations, I would appreciate hearing from you. I can be reached by e-mail at angmcclure@shaw.ca

Thanks,

Angela Forman
